Are you feeling lucky?

People who have escaped potential danger are more likely to be cavalier about preparing for further disasters, according to research from the Society for Risk Analysis. Their study of people who have had the good fortune to have a near-miss with flood damage or avoid a hurricane, showed the lucky few were less likely to insure themselves against future disasters.
