Asteroid dust to shield against climate change?

Asteroid dust could be used to shield Earth from the sun and reduce the impact of climate change, according to a new proposal from scientists in Scotland, who suggest moving a sizeable asteroid into Earth’s orbit then shattering it into a dust cloud.

As unrealistic and dangerous as this sounds, scientists agree that it is theoretically possible. A new company is already planning to manipulate and mine asteroids, for other uses.

Problem being adjusting that thermostat when it goes a little over would be extremely difficult, plus that colour temperature change in incoming light could generate a reverse green house affect, with the carbon dioxide, methane layer reflecting too much heat back into space.
In fact the best bet for the cyclic ice ages over the last 2.5 million years is a orbiting dust cloud.
