Binge drinking causes more than just a hangover

Binge drinking among adolescents and young adults could cause serious brain damage, according to a new University of Cincinnati study.

Four or more drinks for females and five or more for males in a single incident was linked to thinning of the section of the brain related to functions such as paying attention, planning and making decisions, processing emotions and controlling impulses leading to irrational behaviour.
