He has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the journalism program at Ryerson University.

Vinita Srivastava has reported for the New York Times, the Village Voice, Savoy and WBAI Radio in New York. She cofounded Masala Mixx (CKLN Radio) and BrownSugarOnline and was the senior editor at Impact and the head of research at Vibe. She developed the graduate studies digital media program and the Verse City Project, a multimedia bootcamp for marginalized youth while she was a professor at the Ryerson School of Journalism. She has a MS degree in International Affairs from the New School.

Hannah Hoag is an award-winning journalist who has covered the environment, science and medicine for the past 15 years. She has written for Nature, Wired, bioGraphic, The Atlantic, the Globe and Mail and Maclean’s, and she launched and ran Arctic Deeply, an independent digital media project covering circumpolar Arctic issues. She has graduate degrees in biology (human genetics) from McGill University and in science and medical journalism from Boston University.

Erin Ward is currently a student in the Master of Journalism program at the University of British Columbia. Previously, she obtained a BA with an honours specialization in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario before going on to complete an MA in philosophy at the University of Windsor.
