Researchers have developed a computer model that allows them to reconstruct cities to see if they can find smarter and more sustainable ways for future city growth.
Developed by researchers at Singapore’s A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing and scientists in the UK, the model defined the likely use of cells of land based on value and what surrounds it, and validated their findings with data from various cities.
This model allows researchers to develop sustainable urban planning for proposed construction, which could prove vital to dealing with city growth.
