Dinosaurs to walk again … once they’ve finished printing

Using the latest 3D printing technology, palaeontologists can recreate dinosaurs to study how the ancient creatures moved and reproduced.

After scanning scale models of fossils, the 3D printers can then create six-inch dinosaur bone models in a few hours, using layers of resin and other materials.

The scaled-down models will allow palaeontologists to study larger dinosaurs such as Paralititan stromeri, which weighed between 60 and 80 tonnes.
