Drinking impedes on improving critical thinking skills

Students who binge drink while studying have lower levels of critical thinking upon graduation.

Researchers at the University of Iowa took a sample of 4,100 students who attended colleges from 2006-10 from 17 different academic institutions.

The study shows that students who displayed relatively strong critical thinking skills when beginning studies, appeared to be immune to the effect of binge drinking.
