Gaze key in informing robotic social intelligence

Robots can determine the object of human attention by looking at their gaze.

In the study, humans wearing head-mounted video cameras looked at various objects. The robots analysed the vision to find the attention focus of the human.

This information could be used to improve the ability of robots to understand social situations.
