Gender concerns prevent women from registering as architects

Gender-based issues are preventing female architecture graduates from registering as architects, a study from University of Adelaide has found.

The study tracked female graduates in South Australia between 1999 and 2012.

It found issues such as lack of part-time work, pressures from working in a male-dominated industry and family planning decisions deterred female graduates from registering.
