Gene study’s insight into Alzheimer’s disease

Researchers have discovered genes that may increase the risk of Alzheimer’s up to 20 years before symptoms become apparent.

These genes contribute to the shrinkage of the hippocampus, a part of the brain that is important for memory.

Data was analysed from 9000 people for the study.
