GP characteristics based on gender

Female GPs are generally younger than their male counterparts and see more female and young patients, a University of Sydney study has found.

Gender-specific differences were reflective of a similar study from 20 years ago even though there has been an increase in female GPs.

Additional research will take place to see how often patients see their male or female GP in a given year.
