Hospitals fail to recognise signs of abuse

More than three quarters of domestic violence victims who report the abuse to police have sought help in hospitals, but most of them are never identified as victims by medical staff. A study from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School shows that doctors are missing the opportunity to help women escape abusive relationships.
