Earth and Space Research

Earth & Space Research (ESR), a non-profit research institute headquartered in downtown Seattle, is a unique environment for scientific research. Composed of a diverse group of research scientists and professional administrators, ESR encourages excellence in scientific inquiry through a supportive and responsive management team.

Incorporated in 1995 under the laws of the State of Washington, ESR has been granted tax-exempt status under section 501(c)3 of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Our organization is primarily funded by governmental agencies including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
