The Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa is a federal research institution, funded by the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. As a research center, it was founded to create a dedicated space for intellectual work, historic research and preservation efforts that explore Brazil’s national history. The foundation also offers a post-graduate studies program focused on Brazilian culture, history and philosophy.
