Its most popular courses are Pharmacy, Media and Law and, as well as sciences, its strengths are in advanced manufacturing, software and creative industries. In 2012/13 the University generated £560m GVA for the UK and supported 7,500 jobs. There are 20,000 students enrolled at its modern campuses in Sunderland and London or studying its programmes via global learning partnerships in 15 countries.
