Knee reconstruction surgery does not ensure return to sport

Around 40% of people do not return to their previous levels of sports participation following a knee reconstruction surgery, new research has shown.

While most people resume playing some form of sport, only around 60% return to playing at their pre-injury level.

To minimise the risk of knee injury, researchers suggest targeted strength programs to help control knee movement.
