Lego pirate navigates the new ‘super rogue wave’

A new class of sea waves has been found to develop in areas of deep calm sea.

Once thought to be an old pirates’ tale, “super rogue waves” are five times larger than normal waves and have only recently been accepted as scientific fact.

The discovery of super rogue waves may help explain the aggressive wave patterns that can seemingly appear from nowhere in calm seas, causing danger for or even sinking ships.

The occurrence of super rogue waves was tested using one brave Lego pirate sitting in a scientific fish tank at the mercy of a wave generator.

No Lego figures were harmed in the making of this experiment.
