A new piece of free software developed by a Sydney University geophysics team is giving scientists the ability to inspect the surface of the earth as it has evolved over hundreds of millions of years. The GPlates software acts like “Google Eearth with a time slider”, according to Professor Dietmar Mueller of the University of Sydney.
