Next-level gaming with stretchy videogame controllers

A new type of videogame controller could help pave the way for a more immersive gaming experience.

The designers placed an eraser-sized device inside the controller’s thumbsticks to simulate the stretching of skin with vibrations.

These controls are similar to the “rumble pack” which came with the Nintendo64 console controllers, but can also deliver directional cues to the player’s thumbs.
