H1N1 flu vaccination is not associated with a higher risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), research has found.
A study of GBS incidence between 2009 and 2010 showed only a small proportion of cases occurred after influenza immunisation.
Researchers said the study was too small to completely exclude risk, and ongoing surveillance of immunisation effects was required to maintain confidence in mass vaccination.
