Online prayers more self-centred

People who submit prayers online are more likely to pray for themselves as opposed to those who pray in church.

A study conducted by Tania ap Sion from the University of Warwick, has analysed prayers submitted to the Church of England’s “Say One For Me” website.

The study finds that 34% of submissions were devoted to one’s personal issues, as compared with just 3-4% of traditional handwritten prayers left in church.
