Pain can be objectively measured

Scientists have found a means to objectively quantify pain.

University of Michigan researchers have found the brain’s signature for pain is the same for everyone.

Currently pain is measured by patient self-reports on a scale of 1-10.

These findings will allow for an alternative means to confirm subjective patient reports.
