Visiting Fellow in Antislavery Business, University of Nottingham

Dr Akilah Jardine is a Visiting Fellow in Antislavery Business with the Rights Lab, University of Nottingham. She collaborates on publications with colleagues in the Rights Lab’s Business and Economies Programme and Communities and Society Programme, including publications about modern slavery in high-risk sectors, and about business engagement. In a previous Research Fellow role within the Rights Lab, she led research about the nature and prevalence of labour exploitation in the UK’s hand car wash sector, on the labour abuse risks associated with the road freight transport and warehousing sectors in the UK, and on small businesses' understanding and perception of modern slavery, among other topics.
