My PhD (University of Leeds) explored young refugee women's narratives of home in the context of their migration to the UK and transitions to adulthood. The findings have been published in a book called Inhabiting Borders, Routes Home: Youth, Gender and Asylum (Routledge 2013). Since then I have continued to focus on the experiences of refugee and migrant young people and families. I currently hold a Leverhulme Research Fellowship (2017-18) during I which I am conducting a study about the undocumented youth movement, political activism and citizenship through a California case study.
