Alan Dormer

lan Dormer leads a large team of scientists dedicated to applied research for Australia's services sector. His team's focus is in transport and logistics, government services, industrial services, finance and infrastructure, and there are plans to include other sectors in the future.

Alan is growing CSIRO's effort in research for the services sector, the sector that employs over 70% of Australians. He is leading the development of new technologies based on the mathematical sciences, ICT, economics and social sciences.

Alan is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and Institution of Chemical Engineers.
