I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Stirling working on the ecology of freshwater landscapes. This allows me to indulge in my love of aquatic science, particularly working in and around wetlands documenting the flora and fauna and why they occur there. Much of my research is focussed on the effects of beavers on freshwaters, particularly changes in biodiversity and hydrology, and I'm currently working on a national project focussing on interactions between stressors and connectivity as a determinant of ecosystem function and biodiversity in freshwaters.
