Alexander Gilder

PhD Candidate & Graduate Teaching Fellow in Law, City, University of London

Alex is currently researching for a PhD in Law at City, University of London as a Graduate Teaching Fellow. His research investigates the operationalisation of human security in the mandates and practices of UN peace operations. He holds an LLM in Public International Law from Utrecht University and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Lincoln. Alex was awarded a merit-based scholarship to attend the 2017 Summer Course on Public International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law.

Currently, Alex is the Editorial Assistant for the Journal on the Use of Force and International Law (Routledge) and previously sat on the Editorial Board of the Utrecht Journal of International and European Law (Ubiquity Press).
