Researcher in History, Lancaster University

My area of interest is modern cultural history, with a specific focus on the histories of cities and museums. I completed my doctorate with a thesis entitled 'Kissing the Tortoise Shell: Liverpool Museums and the Changing City, Nineteenth Century to the Present Day' in 2014. I currently teach two courses – one on museums and the politics of memory, the other about ongoing influence of the Vietnam War in American culture – in the Department of History, Lancaster University. Other research interests include cinema and the literature of Orhan Pamuk.
