Associate Professor of Development Studies, University of Agder

I am an associate professor of development studies at the Department of Global Development and Planning at the University of Agder. I research social movements and the political economy of development and democracy in the global South - with a specific focus on India and the BRICS countries. I am also interested in the political economy of capitalist development and the politics of radical popular movements in the world-system more generally. I hold a PhD in sociology from the University of Bergen (2006).
