Currently undertaking a PhD at Edinburgh Napier University investigating sources and survival of listeria monocytogenes in the fresh leafy produce supply chain. Interested in the survival of L. monocytogenes on different substrates (soil, leaf surface, etc.), differences between strains of the bacterium and methods to source track its presence in the supply chain such as whole genome sequencing.
