I have joined the Tucker lab as a member of the Animal Biology Group. As an undergraduate, I participated in both equine and bovine research. I worked in a ruminant nutrition lab that focused on the evaluation of feed additives on liver function and protein content. My research here will focus on evaluating the energy efficiency and effectiveness of cooling cattle. This will be done by comparing two innovative cooling mechanisms to the traditional sprinkler and fan mechanism. I am interested in both improving resource efficiency and the behavior exhibited by cattle with these management practices.
