Dr Amanda Elliot's key research interests focus around the relationship between social movements and welfare states, the politics of policy-making and the restructuring of contemporary welfare states. She has particular expertise in the field of Australian and comparative health policy and financing having spent two years as a senior health policy analyst in the Australian Parliament. Current research projects include the use of language and metaphor in policy making and comparative analysis of the relationships between social movements and welfare regimes.
