Amanda Gilbertson

Amanda is Lecturer in Youth and Contemporary India at the Australia India Institute. Her research interests lie in the anthropology of class, gender and youth in urban India. Her current projects explore: the work that young people are doing to promote gender equality in Delhi, reporting on violence against women in Indian media, and implementation of India's Right to Education Act. She is the author of 'Within the Limits: Moral Boundaries of Class and Gender in Urban India' (Oxford University Press, 2017).
