Amanda L. Forest is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Her research examining close relationships, communication processes, self-esteem, and social media has been published in top peer-reviewed psychology journals including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. Her work has been covered by a variety of media outlets including the New York Times, The Huffington Post, The Economist, and NPR's Shots.
