Dr Amir Arjomandi is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance. He was awarded his doctoral degree in the area of banking efficiency and productivity analysis from the University of Wollongong in December 2011. Dr Arjomandi's research interests are in Efficiency and Productivity; Data Envelopment Analysis; Airlines; Banking; SMEs. Dr Arjomandi has been involved in a number of consulting activities related to regional SMEs in Australia and East Asia and also several joint research projects with national and international universities. He has also received several University grants as well as external grants to undertake research and teaching projects funded by the Illawarra Business Chamber (IBC) and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). His works have been cited in popular media including Thomson Reuters, the Herald Sun and The Daily Telegraph.
