Associate Professor of Sociology, City University of New York

Associate Professor of Sociology at Queens College, City University of New York and faculty affiliate at the CUNY Institute for Demographic Research (CIDR). Her work focuses on inequality, education and immigration. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA, an M.A. and B.A. in Economics from New York University. She has received funding from the William T. Grant Foundation and MacArthur Foundation. In addition to academic publications, Amy's work has been featured in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, the Economist, and NPR. She is a member of the Scholars Strategy Network, an organization that disseminates research to improve policy and to enhance democracy.
