Auxiliary Professor of International Relations, Universidade Lusíada Porto

I am an Auxiliary Professor of International Relations at Universidade Lusíada - Norte (Porto) and a Research Consultant and Tutor with the University of Malta via DiploFoundation. I hold a PhD from Aberystwyth University in the United Kingdom and a Masters and Undergraduate from the University of Lisbon in Portugal.

My current research establishes theoretical links between critical international relations theory, the english school and process sociology in the study of world politics.

This research constitutes the basis for two wider projects. The first, considers the relationship between technological development and changing standards of civilization in international society. The second focuses on the study of civilizing processes in non-Western international societies, with a focus on East Asia.
