Andrea J. Darling

Researcher in Criminology, Durham University

Current PhD researcher with over 10 years professional experience working in child and vulnerable adult safeguarding.

I'm researching females who sexually abuse children in organisational contexts following on from my Masters research into women who engage in sexual 'abuse of trust' with young people in their care. My research explores how and why this abuse occurs, the results and consequences (with regard to criminal justice, child protection and employment regulation systems) and the impacts on victims.
