Senior lecturer, University of Exeter

Andrew Gibbs is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, University of Exeter. He also holds honorary posts at the Gender and Health Research Unit at the Medical Research Council, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Centre for Rural Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Institute for Global Health, University College London. Prior to 2022 he lived and worked for over 12 years in South Africa. His main focus of research has been on addressing violence against women and girls, particularly understanding processes of change of interventions and engaging men and boys. He has worked on projects funded by UKRI, FCDO, UNAIDS, UNDP. He works closely with local NGOs.
