Andrew McNicol

Andrew is a UNSW postgraduate student interested in the way technological development keeps us on our toes, desperately trying but never able to catch up to the new social implications they present.

Since spending 2010 writing an honours thesis on the use of identity in activist campaigns, Andrew's research now focuses on 'digital profile systems', such as social media profiles and census forms, and how their design choices affect issues of equality and freedom.
