Professor, Swansea University

Professor Angharad Davies is a clinical academic and honorary consultant medical microbiologist. She qualified in medicine from Cambridge University and holds a PhD from University College London.

Prof Davies is Vice-President for Learning of the Royal College of Pathologists, and has a keen interest in medical education of the pathology disciplines, particularly relating to infection. She is active in research and is Health and Care Research Wales Specialty Lead for Infection. Her main research interest is the gastrointestinal parasite Cryptosporidium.

She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of the Council of Medical Educators.
