Dr Anika Knuppel is a Nutritional Epidemiologist at Cancer Epidemiology Unit of the Nuffield Department of Population Health at the University of Oxford. She has a background in Nutrition, holds an MSc in Nutritional Sciences from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany and a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from University College London (UCL). Her PhD focused on the bidirectional relationship between diet-related factors and depression over the adult life course. In her current role she is part of the Wellcome Trust funded LEAP (Livestock, Environment and People) project. The project focusses on associations between the intake of animal products and physical health. In addition, she is a Junior Research Fellow in Medical Sciences at the Centre for Personalised Medicine at St Anne’s College Oxford.
