Ann-Marie Gibson

Lecturer in Physical Activity for Health, University of Strathclyde

Dr Ann-marie Gibson joined the School of Psychological Sciences and Health in 2012 and is currently a Lecturer in Physical Activity for Health. Her main areas of teaching are Sport Psychology and Physical Activity Psychology. Her current research interests focus on the psychological determinants of physical activity behaviour in adolescent girls, physical activity and sedentary behaviour in school and key transitions in sport and phyiscal activity contexts.

She is a BASES-accredited Sport Scientist (Psychology) and a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. She currently provide psychological support to a number of elite athletes and coaches in Scotland, working with basketball, rugby, golf and football.
