Anthony Sinclair

I am Professor of Archaeological Theory & Method in the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology at the University of Liverpool. I conduct research into the archaeological record of the first modern humans and their immediate ancestors and have conducted field research through Western Europe, southern Africa and currently Arabia. I am currently working on a large scale scientometric study of archaeology and its relationship to cognate disciplines between 1960 and 2020 using bibliometric data and science mapping.I have a keen interest in the nature and enhancement of teaching in Archaeology and was made one of the UK's National Teaching Fellows in 2010.
