Dr. Anurag Sharma is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Economics, Monash University. He is currently Primary Chief-Investigator on Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project titled “The Role of taxes and subsidies in promoting health lifestyles: an economic analysis.” The dual aims of this project are to analyse the impact of various types of soft drink and alcohol taxes on reduction in obesity and harmful alcohol consumption respectively.

Anurag’s tertiary qualifications are in Economics including PhD in Economics from the Australian National University.
