Head of Sustainable Finance Hub, The University of Melbourne

Dr. Arjuna Dibley is the Head of the Sustainable Finance Hub and Research Fellow at Melbourne Climate Futures, University of Melbourne. He is also an Honorary Researcher at the Oxford University, Smith School for Enterprise and Environment.

Arj is an expert in environmental law and economics. He has a doctorate in climate change law and economics from Stanford University, which he received as a General Sir John Monash Scholar, and has published on climate change policy and law, clean-energy innovation and sustainable finance in globally leading scientific and law journals, including Nature, Science, the Journal of Cleaner Production and the Harvard Environmental Law Journal. Arj has also led significant climate change policy reports, including as a lead author on the United Nations Environment Programme’s Adaptation Gap Report. Arj's research has been featured in the New York Times, the Financial Times and the Guardian, among others.

Prior to his university role, Arj worked as a corporate lawyer, strategy adviser and policy analyst at leading climate change law and sustainable finance organisations in Australia, Asia and the US.
