Drones, or Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), can be used to collect information that's invisible to the human eye. Arko Lucieer is an Associate Professor in Remote Sensing in the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Group, School of Land and Food at the University of Tasmania. His research focuses on the use of UAS for quantitative remote sensing and high-precision aerial surveys for environmental and agricultural applications.
