Associate Professor Rosemary Purcell

Director, Research & Translation, The University of Melbourne

Rosemary Purcell (M.Psych, PhD) is the Director of Research & Translation at Orygen, Associate Professor in the Centre for Youth Mental Health at the University of Melbourne and a registered psychologist. She leads the Elite Sports and Mental Health unit at Orygen. In addition to her interests in mental health in elite and professional sports, her research has focused on predictors of illness progression in young people, early intervention for young offenders, and stalking and querulous behaviour. She has authored over 100 peer reviewed articles and published 2 books including the award-winning book "Stalkers and their Victims" (Cambridge University Press, 2000).
