Bayu Mitra A. Kusuma is a Faculty Member at the Islamic Management Department, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In addition, he also researcher in the Institute of Southeast Asian Islam and Kalijaga Institute for Justice, both are at the same university. He earned the double master degree from the Graduate School of Public Administration, Universitas Brawijaya in Malang, Indonesia and the Faculty of Political Science and Law, Burapha University in Chonburi, Thailand. His research interests include social policy, security studies, human rights and democracy, conflict and peace studies especially those related to Southeast Asian perspectives.
