Betty joined the Group in October 2012. Previously, she was an assistant professor of Finance at Yonsei University School of Business (Korea). She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics at National Taiwan University, and a master’s degree in Economics at University of Virginia. Subsequently, she graduated with the MPhil in Economics at Tinbergen Institute and a PhD in Finance at University of Amsterdam (2010). Her PhD thesis title is “Essays on Top Management and Corporate Behavior”. She was affiliated with the European Corporate Governance Training Network during her PhD study.

Betty's areas of expertise include corporate governance, empirical corporate finance, private equity, entrepreneurship, behavioural finance and financial development.
